Privacy and terms

What this site collects

Nothing, unless you use the contact form. There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising tag, no embedded video or font from a third party, and no cookie of any kind is set. Every asset, including the two typefaces, is served from this domain.

The hosting provider, Google Firebase Hosting, keeps standard server request logs, which include IP addresses. That is a function of being on the web rather than a choice this site makes, and those logs are Google's under their own terms.

The contact form

The form posts to Formspree, which filters submissions and forwards them by email. Formspree therefore processes whatever you type into it: your name, your email address, the topic you pick and your message. Their privacy policy governs that processing.

The destination address is held in Formspree's dashboard and is deliberately not present anywhere in this website's source, which is why there is no address to write to directly.

Messages are kept for as long as they are useful and no longer. If you want yours deleted, ask in a reply and it will be.

What is published here about me

Everything on this site is about one person, and it is transcribed from sources that person controls: his own LinkedIn export, and the two websites he operates. No employer, client, date, qualification or figure appears here that is not in one of those. Where a source disagrees with another, the disagreement is left visible rather than resolved by guessing.

What this site is not

Nothing published here is tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice or financial advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. The essays in particular are personal writing and represent one person's opinion on the day it was written.

Tax and accounting services are offered separately, under their own engagement terms, atkhaledhawari.ca. Delivery and analytics services are offered separately atkodelytics.ca. Those sites carry their own terms and this page does not override them.

The writing on this site is its author's. Quote it, link it and argue with it freely; republishing a piece in full is not permitted without asking, and asking is usually enough.

Corrections

If something here is factually wrong, tell me and it will be fixed rather than defended. The contact form has an option for exactly that.
