About Khaled Hawari
Khaled Hawari is an Ottawa, Ontario accountant who moved into technical delivery. He is a tax and financial consultant and the founder of Kodelytics Inc. and KNA Group, he took commerce degrees at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, and he works in English, French and Arabic. Most people call him Kal Hawari.

Finance first
I did not come to delivery from engineering. I came to it from the books.
That order matters more than it sounds. An accountant is trained to distrust a figure that only one system knows about, to work to a cut-off rather than to a feeling of being finished, and to treat "we will fix it later" as a liability with a size rather than a plan. Those are habits, not opinions, and they came with me.
The second half of the story is the part that surprises people: almost none of it had to be relearned. A close and a release are the same object. I wrote about thatat more length, so it will not be repeated here.
